Nowadays I am an orthopedic resident – specialization paediatric orthopedics, with a PhD in ‘Building Better Bone’, as I performed research on the complexity of shockwaves and bone regeneration for some years. Also, I am a board member of the Dutch Society for Medical Shock Wave Therapy (NVMST, www.shockwave.nu). Recently, the NVMST has been working on factsheets, to create an overview of the current evidence and provide guidelines for Dutch healthcare professionals. On top of that we have launched an advertisement campaign to create awareness on shockwave therapy around the Netherlands. But most of all we have been working together to facilitate the 26th World Congress of the International Society for Medical Shockwave Treatment in AMSTERDAM. A city of bikes, history, art, canals and in 2024 749 years old! We hope to welcome you and show you the lovely and diverse city of Amsterdam.
